Agricultural and Rural Management –Bachelor’s programme is a first cycle course and degree programme. It has an interdisciplinary perspective and covers the main fields of study of biology, business administration, chemistry, agricultural science and technology. The programme provides a broad knowledge and holistic view of the agricultural sector and related areas with an emphasis on agricultural conditions, production, market, function, work management and the interaction with the environment and society,in particular from a sustainability perspective. The courses and study programmes combine knowledge in the fields of animal husbandry, economics, engineering and technology and crop cultivation, both with a research-related and scholarly approach and through connections to the business world. The courses and (degree) programme have a clear connection to the agricultural industry through a large number of project work based on real placement cases, guest lectures and study visits. Common industry days forproducers, advisers and students are used in the teaching to give an understanding of the complex systems of the agrarian industry.
