The Erasmus+ KA Alliance for Skills and Knowledge to Widen Food Sector-related Open Innovation, Optimization and Development – ASKFOOD (www.askfood.eu, 2018-2020) is an Erasmus+ Knowledge Alliance project aimed to upgrade and modernize training and educational methodologies in the food-related sectors, leverage innovation and entrepreneurial mindset of the future generation of graduates, and improve academia-industry and stakeholders interplay in a Quintuple Helix innovation model at EU and international level. The ASKFOOD project consortium in an innovative and international “educational” environment will develop: a cross-industry knowledge platform (Knowledge and Training Hub) to support innovative multi-actor food clusters; an Open Innovation framework to modernize HE in food studies; an innovative mapping and co-design of training supported by Open Innovation Methodologies (Labs, Virtual Incubator); an interactive repository of emerging skills and professional profiles (Interactive Atlas) to forecast future skill needs in the food sector and a permanent multisectorial, multidisciplinary observatory on food education.
