Timber harvest 4.0: cross-cluster digitization

Partner responsible:

Description:

The aim of the eight-part joint project Smart Forestry is to develop cross-cluster approaches for intelligent, fully integrated timber harvesting based on forest and wood 4.0 concepts. With the help of digital twins, the smart forestry concept connects all players along the timber harvesting value chain for the first time - from felling planning to delivery to the customer. Situation-specific, freely configurable value-added networks allow all actors involved to communicate on an equal footing. This enables the control, evaluation and optimization of the timber harvesting process and its integration into upstream and downstream process stages.
