The Professional School of Agriculture and Rural Development of Carvalhais / Mirandela (EPADRCM), located in Carvalhais / Mirandela, is located in Quinta de Carvalhais, being the only public vocational school in Alto Trás-os-Montes. It was created by Ordinance No. 285/2000 of 23 May, resulting from the transformation of the Professional School of Agriculture of Carvalhais, created by a program contract, under Decree-Law No. 26/89 of 21 January, approved on 10 August 1992 and having as promoters the Secondary School of Carvalhais, the Municipality of Mirandela and the Parish Council of Carvalhais.
