The National Agency for Qualification and Vocational Education, I.P. (ANQEP, I.P.) is a public institute integrated in the indirect administration of the State, with administrative, financial and pedagogical autonomy. ANQEP I.P. has joint supervision of the Ministries of Education, and of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security, in coordination with the Ministry of Economy and Sea. The mission of this Agency is to contribute to the improvement of the qualification levels of young people and adults in Portugal, promoting both a growing demand for educational and professional qualifications (dual certification), at non-tertiary level, and an offer of initial and lifelong training that is broadly attractive, of quality and relevant to the labour market (Decree-Law No. 36/2012, of 15 February).
